A prestigious name
I wanted to buy a set of flatware that had a really good reputation, but when I looked at some of the best sets of flatware in the department store I was taken aback as to how expensive they were, and realized that I really couldn’t afford to spend so much money. However, after talking to the salesman for a while I was advised that instead of buying a cheap set of silver flatware from a company which specialized in cheap flatware, it would be better to buy a set made from stainless steel from one of the better manufacturers. He advised me to buy a set of Christofle flatware, but to buy it not in silver but in stainless steel, because the quality was very high and he was sure I would be pleased with my purchase. At first I wasn’t sure, because I really wanted sterling silver, but once I got the flatware home and used it at my first dinner party I found that I was very pleased indeed, and I’m glad that I took the salesman’s advice.
