Getting a Lawyer Over Lottery Winnings
I heard a horrible story from a neighbor a few months back. She told me that her father had to hire the best Florida lawyer after his companion took his winning lottery ticket as her own. This woman comes to my neighbor’s fathers house every other day and spends time with him and makes sure everything is okay with him. She also takes him to the store once a week to purchase a scratch ticket. She always checks the ticket and lets him know if he won or not. She always criticized him for wasting the money, so he was surprised when she told him she won a large amount of money off a scratch off ticket. Come to find out it was his scratch off ticket that she claimed to be her own. With the help of a lawyer they reviewed tapes from the convenience store and found out that he was correct and it was his lottery winnings. The lawyer was able to get the money back from the woman and press charges.
