My dog broke my stained glass fireplace screen!
I bought a beautiful stained glass fireplace screen. I placed it in front of the fireplace in the den. I have a Saint Bernard. He is very large and often clumsy. I do not allow him to go into the den. I keep the french doors closed, so that he is unable to enter the room. One day, the dog was outside, and my husband went into the den to retrieve the newspaper from the night before. He left the doors open when he entered the room. I was not aware of the fact that the doors were open, and I let the dog inside. He went tearing through the house, as he normally does when he first comes in from being outside. He ran into the den and knocked the fireplace screen over. It shattered into tiny shards of glass. I spent three hours picking up the larger pieces and vacuuming the floor to pick up the microscopic pieces that were embedded in the carpet.
