Heel fissures

Heel fissures are usually cracks in the skin of which take place around the heel. They are more frequent throughout people who are overweight and have more fat under the heel; throughout those with dry skin; in those with hard skin and in those who wear open back shoes or no shoes. When we bear weight in the heel, the fat under the heel expands. When the skin is not supple around the edges of the heel, there is a good chance that if the risk factors are presents that the skin will crack. The successful remedy associated with heel fissure after the crack has healed is to remove the risk factors.
