Child Custody and Visitation

In most cases, a court will generally allow a parent the right to visitation except in the instance that they deem it not in the child’s best interest. In cases where the line is blurry, the court may allow supervised visitation rights. Courts open their ears to little ones and if a child does not feel comfortable seeing a parent, in most instances, they will in no way be forced to do so. Other adults in the child’s life may also be granted visitations such as stepparents, grandparents or other adults that play a part in the child’s well being. If you are still unsure about your rights, contact your local family law attorney. They will be able to give you the answers that you need.
