I am an engine repair technician. Until recently, I had to tear the motors apart just to diagnose a problem. This took a lot of time, especially when the problem was a minor one. I recently started using a borescope. The device allows me to look deep into the engine without tearing it apart. I can diagnose a problem and tear apart only the components that are absolutely necessary. Less labor means lower costs for my customers. But, less labor also means that I am able to repair more engines each day. Understanding borescopes means saving time and making more money.
