Biometric Fingerprints- A Concept That Waited For the Technology
It might be surprising to many, but the fact is, the use of Biometric Fingerprints for identification and identity verification purposes is an ancient concept. The ancient Chinese and Persians used Biometric Fingerprints for identifying officials who sealed documents. It was not until the late 19th and early 20th century that Biometric Fingerprints began to be widely used for anything; at the time, the uses of fingerprints were limited to criminal investigations. Current technology has now enabled them to be used for a much wider variety of purposes in the home, at work, and at play.
