Theories Provide Insight for How Organizations Work
The real purpose of organizational culture theories is to offer some insight into how organizations manage to function for long periods of time while different people interact on a daily basis. This interaction results in the organization either accomplishing its goals, or failing at every attempt. It is interesting to observe the culture of an organization and see how people with different personalities and backgrounds are capable of coming together for a common purpose. This proves that there is hope for the human race. We are quick to point out our differences, failing to realize that more is accomplished if we focus on what we have in common.
