What Affects Health Insurance Rates
Various pieces of the health insurance puzzle are reflected in health insurance rates. One piece of that puzzle is your riskiness in terms ofneeding required medical services and supplies. Another piece is thecompany’s ability to payout in such case that you’ll need the insurance tocover medical costs. A key feature of the policy that is reflected in therate, as well, is the deductible amount. The deductible amount will need tobe paid before the insurer begins to cover any of the medical costs. Oncethis amount is paid in full, it remains paid, or “met,” until the calendaryear is over, at which point the amount is reset to $0.00.
