Buses from Bellary
It has a swimming pool, a boat club, a garden and a restaurant. The Abode of Love Shalimar, obviously the best, 16 kilometres to the east of Srinagar city, was built by Emperor Jahangir for his wife NurJahan, the Light of the World. This beautiful garden 539 by 182 metres in area, has four terraces, rising one above the other. A canal lined with polished stones and supplied with water from Harwan, runs through the centre of the garden.
