Surgery For Hyperthyroidism
I was nervous because there was the potential for surgery because of my hyperthyroidism. My thyroid was becoming very large but because I was taking antithyroid medications surgery wasn’t needed. Surgery is rarely used to treat it anyway and I didn’t want to be one of the few that did go down that road. Obviously surgery would be fast but still I would rather try any medications first then have that done. Now I have to worry sustaining treatment and check back with my doctor to ensure my condition isn’t worsening. My Grandmother may have had this condition so that is where I get it from.
