Ankle manipulation
Ankle sprains normally heal up with rest and immobilisation and also initially with ice in order to keep the swelling down. But after this initial phase, a common problem that is faced is how to get the joint moving and mobilized as one of the most common causes of long term problems following ankle sprains is poor initial rehabilitation which will cause the person unnecessary long term problems. One strategy that is often used in those with chronic pain following an ankle sprain is ankle manipulation which aims to restore movement in the ankle, breaking down adhesions and provide important neuromuscular effects.
