A Freelance Writer’s Dilemma
I work as a freelance writer for this international company. I am fortunate enough to telecommute and manage my own time. Unfortunately, since I am working as a freelance employee, I do not have the usual benefits that a regular office employee has. I do not have medical insurance coverage, paid time-off’s and I have to provide myself of all the essentials to perform my work – a computer, an Internet connection and so on. I would love to have an ergonomic computer workstation, but ergonomic products do cost more than what I would spend on rent. I would not mind investing on them, but I am not being paid enough and work does not regularly come.
